We are a pretty laid back bunch who enjoys getting together and puts a priority on worship. We like to offer the best of ourselves to God on Sunday morning and through the rest of the week.
If you come for worship you will most likely be met with a friendly 'hello,' either from our greeter or just one of our friendly, caring members. We gather in the sanctuary and centre ourselves for worship during some prelude music. The worship leader for the morning will lead the congregation in a gathering hymn and calls us to worship, invoking God's Holy Spirit into our midst.
As part of our gathering we like to welcome everyone and make special acknowledgment of guests or visitors. If you are visiting with us you will be invited to introduce yourself so that we can better welcome you. Of course if you would rather be anonymous, that is perfectly okay too.
Music is a big part of our worship and can include, on any given Sunday, traditional hymns, world music, folk tunes, chorales and contemporary choruses.
After we gather and praise God we often have a time of confession - acknowledging before God that we are not perfect, asking that through the Holy Spirit we might continue to become more Christ-like. At the same time we receive the assurance that through Christ we are loved and accepted by God just as we are.
Every worship service we has a time when the children are invited to the front for something special for them.
Each worship service has some scripture read and most of our worship services have a sermon.
Worship usually concludes with some more singing, hearing what's going on in the life of the congregation, a benediction and some parting music.
There is a lot of visiting and connecting that happens after worship, around the coffee cart, in the hallways or in the sanctuary.
Sunday school is available for children and adults and begins at about 11:00 o'clock. There is also a lot to be learned by those who continue visiting with one another as well.
